ABOUT

While there is no replacement for seeing art and design in person, we understand not everyone can make it to campus to see KCAD's physical 2022 Annual Student Exhibitions. So, we've developed an online platform to present our 2022  Master's Thesis Exhibition, Excellence Awards Exhibition, and Undergraduate Senior Exhibition virtually! Comment sections are included for each exhibition, and we welcome guests to take a few moments to share some words of encouragement.

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

In 1928, Helen Miller Kendall, an accomplished artist, philanthropist, and wife of furniture design legend David Wolcott Kendall, established the David Wolcott Kendall Memorial School to continue her husband’s legacy of creativity, education, and innovation. Now, 94 years since its founding, Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University remains committed to this initial charge.

Alongside Ferris State University, we recognize the vital role of design, art, and scholarship and also the potential of the leaders whose work is being showcased. Our students graduate from KCAD as creative leaders with versatility, empathy, and problem-solving skills vital to our collective ability to design a better future for all of us. And no matter where our graduates find themselves in the world, KCAD faculty and staff continue to be their supporters and biggest fans. We are forever #KCADproud of our alumni!

If you are in the Grand Rapids area this week, I hope you will plan to visit our campus to see the Undergraduate Senior and Excellence Awards physical exhibitions. Both will be on view through Saturday, May 7, 2022. These physical and online exhibitions showcase the outstanding work our graduates have brought to life during their time at KCAD and represent the depth of their learning.

As you move through the online exhibitions, I also invite you to take the time to congratulate our graduates on their significant accomplishments and share encouragement as they continue their professional journey.

Enjoy!

Tara McCrackin

President
